Tomahawk Throwing for Scout Leaders
Aim of the course:
Tomahawk throwing in scouting is popular and participation is increasing.
The Scout Association rules relating to Tomahawk throwing (Rule 9.38 and factsheet 120011) require leaders to be trained for at least 7 hours.
This course, designed with guidance from the Knife, Axe and Tomahawk Throwing Association (KATTA) and Bushcraft Scout Activity Support Unit (SASU), is intended to enable leaders to run the activity safely, to comply with the Association’s rules, and to equip leaders to provide appropriate information when seeking approval for a Tomahawk Throwing activity from the appropriate Commissioner.
A certificate summarising the topics covered will be provided to those completing the course.
