Join Scouts in Whitby!

Whitby is a coastal town in Yorkshire, northern England, divided by the River Esk. Bram Stoker drew inspiration for “Dracula” from the abandoned Gothic Whitby Abbey, which stands on the East Cliff and faces the North Sea.

Whitby has many opportunities for our Scouts; this lovely seaside town provides many fun outdoor adventurers for young people looking to improve their skills and make new friends.

Here at North Yorkshire Scouts, we always work hard to deliver life skills; if you’re based in Whitby, this could be the best place for you.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
