Group Milestones – relaunched!

At our Enable conference last Sunday, Nigel (Ebor District Lead Volunteer) and Lucy (Selby District Lead Volunteer) ran a focus group with Group Lead Volunteers to refresh, refine, and reshape our plan to give Scout Groups a framework to work towards. 

Earlier this year we launched a collaboration between the Districts and The County called ‘Group Standards’. Following this we received feedback from Groups across the County. Some welcomed the approach, others felt like it was too competitive. Largely however, many agreed the sentiment was correct, but that some of the language needed to be updated. 

As a result of this feedback, and the session at Enable, we are now relaunching the initiative as our Group Milestones.

We would like to invite Group Chairs and Group Lead Volunteers to review the new framework with fellow Trustees and Group Leadership Team members to see how you may be able to implement some of the principles into how you are developing your groups.
