Ryedale is one of 10 Districts in North Yorkshire, covering a large area of the North York Moors and many of the rural communities around it. There are six Scout Groups covering Rillington, Norton, Malton, Pickering, Helmsley, and Kirkbymoorside. Each Group is led by their Group Lead Volunteer, who supports a brilliant team of adults to make Scouts the best it can be for our members.

The County Programme Team Leader is a member of the County Senior Leadership Team and responsible for our County Programme Team. The team encompasses everything from Ellerton Scout Activity Centre, the Caving Team, and the Climbing Team, to adventurous activities, equipment hire, and major events like Beaver Damboree and Ignite!
If you are passionate about adventure, you are keen to try something new in Scouts, and you would like to develop your skills, then this is the role for you! As our Programme Team Leader you will get the chance to work with a large and diverse group of volunteers who look after the front-of-house of our offering as a County.

We have a HQ office, county store and operate two Centres: our indoor accommodation and campsite, Watson Scout Centre, and our water activities centre, Ellerton Scout Activity Centre. We are looking for people with an interest in property to join our Property Sub-Committee. Your knowledge and experience in property or estates will bring a new perspective and challenge to help us ensure we are in the best possible place to provide support to volunteers across our County.
