Programme Team

Our programme team is here to take the pressure off you, our volunteers, and help you to be able to reach even more activities for your young people. This could mean anything from mountain biking, climbing, and mountaineering, to kayaking, sailing or archery!

We can also help you to get the training and permits you need to be able to help you to deliver more adventurous activities yourselves. We want every activity to be within reach for any of our volunteers, or ultimately any of our young people!

The North Yorkshire Scouts Programme Team’s sole purpose is to provide a resource to the sections of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers across the county, giving them the ability to tap into a wide range of equipment and activity permits that help volunteers deliver their programme. The team also supports by coordinating our Major Events, where hundreds of young people and volunteers descend on various activity camps for a weekend of jam-packed adventures.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
