As a County, North Yorkshire Scouts funds the use of Online Scout Manager (OSM) for all Squirrel, Beaver, Cub, Scout, and Explorer Units registered on MyMembership.

This is to the value of £24 per section which covers the OSM Gold level subscription. You can read more about what is covered in Gold on Online Scout Manager’s website.

To access this cover, please use our discount code. If you do not know the code, please speak with your District Lead Volunteer.

Groups are also able to purchase additional ‘add ons’ to cover things such as the Parent Portal, Accountancy, File Storage and other such top-ups.

As we fund the use of Online Scout Manager through the county levy, which is charged per young person, we are unable to extend our cover beyond Squirrel, Beaver, Cub, Scout, and Explorer sections. This means that the below examples are unable to claim this £24 discount.

• Adult Volunteer ‘sections’
• Special sections set up to manage trips
• Additional sections to enable collaboration between two existing sections
• Young Leader Units
• Waiting list sections that are not registered as waiting lists (as these are free if registered correctly with Online Scout Manager).

As the use of the code is available to anyone that uses it, we are unable to add in any approval steps to sift out those sections that are disallowed. If any any of the above appear in our list, our finance team will issue the local Group/District for the value.
