Event Support Equipment

Team Overview

We have the equipment and skills to support your event. We maintain and manage a wide variety of equipment to support Scouting in North Yorkshire, illustrated here

We support Scout events across the County from large County camps to Explorer unit meetings as well as supporting events outside the County including music festivals, orienteers and weddings.

We will try and help with any event whether you need equipment only or expertise or both. Whatever you need so if in doubt just ask!

Our e-brochure is not a definitive list of all the equipment that we have access to. It is intended to help you understand the type and range of equipment available.

Prices are not included in this guide as they are much lower for North Yorkshire Scouts.

We are a small volunteer team so some equipment is a one off and we may need to be flexible about timings.

Our equipment is stored in Sowerby, Thirsk. You can collect it from there or we may be able to deliver it, volunteer dependant.

We operate a large fleet of trailers, open goods trailers and box trailers to safely move things as well as a van and volunteers’ personal vehicles. Trailers and our van are not available for general hire to keep them available for moving our kit.

If you are struggling with some of our technical jargon like ½”BSP and IEC or XLR and LPG – please give us a shout!

The best contact method is email: eventsupport@nys.org.uk

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
