Magic, Memories and Adventure: Scarborough Scouts Take on Disneyland Paris

Date: 17th Jun 2026 Author: Lucy Horsman

One of the highlights of the visit was meeting Scouts from around the world. The group enjoyed exchanging experiences and making new connections, showing the international spirit of Scouting and the friendships it fosters across borders.

Considering the experience, a group leader said: “After a year of planning, fundraising and expectancy, all moments were worth it. From castles and rollercoasters to fun and friendship, the magic of Disney was amazing, but the real magic was seeing our young people take every opportunity, have a go, move beyond their comfort zones and grow in confidence throughout the adventure.”

The adventure showed how Scouts gives young people opportunities to explore new places, gain confidence and broaden their horizons. Throughout the trip, the group proudly represented North Yorkshire Scouts, wearing the Union Jack on their uniforms and neckers as they travelled.

The visit to Disneyland Paris was an unforgettable experience for each person involved and a clear example of the adventures available through Scouts.
