River Paddle (Sunday)

Date: 7th July 2024 Location: Boroughbridge, Langthorpe Car Park Sections: Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Scout Network, Adult Volunteer Event Organiser: Water Programme Team

This new event is for those who have either achieved the Paddle UK Discover Award or spent at least two full days training with us and will help develop your paddling skills in either Kayak or Canoe.

On the Boroughbridge to Aldwark trip, you will travel down  the River Ure for a journey of approximately 7 miles. All the time the scenery is ever changing and wildlife abounds.

We will stop for your well earned packed lunch and drinks. After that, it is a relaxing paddle down the river to the finish at Aldwark.

The starting point is the carpark at Langthorpe on the roundabout just north of the town centre of Boroughbridge; there we sort out boats and equipment and a quick brief and then on to the water.

The finish is at Aldwark Bridge.
