About The Course

Not sure which water sport you want to pursue, then this day is for you! The one day course lets you try the some of the activities associated watersports i.e. Sailing and Paddlesports.

Is It For Me / What Can I Achieve

The day will take you through the elements of the Nautical Skills badges. There is a little bit of theory but most of it will be on the water trying the many water activities on offer.

Your Day

On arrival, and after a centre briefing, you will be allocated to a group. After a quick chat with your group instructor about the day, the badge and the format of the training it’s on the water for lots of FUN, learning new skills. Feedback on your achievements will be given by your instructor during the activities and at the end of the day, if you have achieved the standard, you will be given a pass slip to say you have passed the requirements for the Basic Nautical Skills Badge. Hand this slip to your section leader who will get your badge to sew onto your uniform.
