Falcon Beavers Get Hands On With Animals During Exciting Pets at Home Visit
Falcon Beaver Colony enjoyed an unforgettable evening of learning and hands on fun during a special visit to Pets at Home, where Beavers took part in an engaging animal care workshop.
The session was led by duty manager Elliot, who quickly captured the attention of the young people with his enthusiasm and knowledge. Beavers learned about responsible pet ownership and what animals need to stay happy and healthy. As part of the workshop, the Colony helped prepare cages by adding bedding and setting up safe, comfortable spaces for small animals.
One of the highlights of the evening was the opportunity to gently handle a variety of animals, including a hamster, a rat and dwarf hamsters. For many Beavers, this was their first close up experience with small pets, helping to build confidence while reinforcing the importance of kindness and care when interacting with animals.
The evening was also a special one for new member
s Rueben, Oliver and Ava, who have recently started their link up from Squirrels. They were warmly welcomed by the Colony and threw themselves straight into the activities, quickly becoming part of the group.
The visit perfectly supported the Beaver programme by combining learning, teamwork and fun in a real world setting. Leaders praised the Beavers for their excellent behaviour and curiosity throughout the session.
Parents have been warned, however, that following such an exciting experience there may be a noticeable increase in requests for new pets at home.
