North Yorkshire Scouts Tackle the Mud and Mayhem at Junior Warrior
Over 1600 young people from across North Yorkshire Scouts took on the challenge of Junior Warrior, an exciting and action-packed obstacle course event run by Total Warrior on 18 – 19 June at Bramham Park.
It was open to our smallest 6 year old Beaver Scouts to our tallest 17 year old Explorers.
Guy Beavis from our North Yorkshire Scouts Event Team commented: “Junior Warrior was another brilliant success. The sun was shining, the atmosphere was fantastic and both young people and volunteers threw themselves into it, often quite literally. From mud slides to climbing challenges everyone had a go and the feedback said it all. “
Guy continued: “One Scout told me ‘Mud makes me happy’ while another said ‘It was the best thing ever’. It is no surprise that Junior Warrior is our most popular event and we are very lucky to have the course to ourselves for the full weekend. I know many are already counting down to next year.”
The course, designed by the organisers of the famous Total Warrior event, offered a safe yet thrilling experience that pushed limits and boosted confidence. Volunteers, Scout Leaders, and families were on hand to support and celebrate every muddy milestone.
North Yorkshire Scouts continue to provide adventurous opportunities like Junior Warrior to help young people develop skills for life in a fun and challenging environment.
