The Larkin International Jamboree Kicks Off with a Bang!
Welcome to the Larkin International Jamboree 2024! The excitement is palpable as Scouts and Guides from across North Yorkshire gather at Duncombe Park, Helmsley, for an unforgettable week from July 27th to August 3rd.
Day 1 Highlights:
Grand Opening Ceremony: The event began with a vibrant opening ceremony, featuring a parade of flags from participating troops and a spectacular display of fireworks lighting up the night sky.
Activity Zones: Scouts and Guides explored various activity zones, each offering unique challenges and adventures. From rock climbing and zip-lining to creative arts and crafts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Cultural Exchange: One of the highlights of the first day was the cultural exchange program, where participants shared stories, songs, and traditions from their home countries. This fostered a sense of global community and friendship.
Campfire Fun: The evening ended with a traditional campfire, where everyone gathered to sing songs, share tales, and roast marshmallows. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and camaraderie.
