York

As Scouts, we believe it’s important to give young people life skills. We inspire our youth to be more, learn more, and accomplish more, and if you’re based in York, we have 26 Scouts all across the City ready to kickstart your next adventure!

York is one of the most exquisite and stunning historic cities in England. Romans referred to it as Eboracum. The Saxons called it Eoforwick. Jorvik was the name given by the Vikings, who arrived as conquerors but settled there. It’s more recent past has also defined York. There’s the famous York Minster, mediaeval architecture, gorgeous Georgian townhouses, and a Victorian train station.

We provide more than 3000 young people across the City the chance to experience adventure and enjoyment every week, while acquiring the skills necessary for their current and future success. We’re talking about resilience, leadership, and teamwork—skills that have helped Scouts become teachers, social workers, astronauts, and Olympians, among other professions.
